Director, Litigation Strategy & Practice Management

Its litigation practice is widely regarded as elite, handling complex, high‑stakes matters and foundational legal issues for market‑leading clients across multiple jurisdictions.

• Develop and implement business plans with department and practice leaders
\n
• Monitor financial performance and address risks and opportunities
\n
• Analyze pipeline demand and manage capacity planning for the practice
\n
• Serve as primary operational contact for department leadership
\n
• Drive long‑term planning, growth strategy and performance tracking
\n
• Aggregate and analyze hours, rates, revenue, headcount and budgets
\n
• Organize partner meetings, set agendas and drive follow‑up actions
\n
• Monitor KPIs including utilization, realization and cash expenditure
\n
• Prepare data, analysis and presentations for leadership and board use
\n
• Support practice management tools and operational initiativesPartner with marketing and business development on growth opportunities
\n
• Facilitate leadership succession planning
\n
• Draft internal communications and presentations
\n
• Mentor, supervise and develop direct reports
\n
• Oversee staffing coverage, timekeeping and policy compliance
\n
• Participate in hiring, performance management and employee lifecycle events
\n

A successful candidate should have:

\n
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting or a related field
\n
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in management roles
\n
• Background in law firms, professional services, consulting or financial institutions
\n
• Proven experience supporting senior executives
\n
• Highly strategic, analytical and commercially minded
\n
• Strong communicator with excellent judgment and discretion
\n
• Able to lead through influence and manage multiple priorities
\n
• Comfortable with travel and extended or weekend hours as required
\n

• Base salary range: $240,000 - $290,000, dependent on location and experience
\n
