This will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities and monitoring / assessing individuals / groups / whole classes.\nGeneral Responsibilities\nThe HLTA is responsible Under the instruction and guidance of teaching or other senior staff and within the overall ethos of the school, undertake the teaching of some lessons to a class of pupils.\nSpecific Responsibilities\n * Teach classes, under the specific guidance of the class teacher\n * Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher;\n * Assist with the planning of learning activities;\n * Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils’ work;\n * Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals.\n * Monitor pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed and provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ achievement, progress, and problems;\n * Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their behaviour;\n * Prepare, maintain and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use, including supporting the use of ICT in learning activities and developing pupils’ competence in its use;\n * Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person;\n * Be aware of and support difference and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop;\nClosing Date - 3rd of July 2026\nInterview Date – Wednesday 8th July\nTo Apply\nIf you feel you are a suitable candidate and would like to work for Sapientia Education trust, please click apply to be redirected to our website to complete your application
